2024 Spring Congregational Meeting and Vote

The meeting will be held in-person and online May 19, 2024 at 12:30 pm.

The Board of Trustees will give a presentation on the items up for vote. Members will vote by electronic or mail-in ballots. The voting period is Monday, May 6 – Monday, May 27, 2024

Voting includes the following:

  • 8th Principle: Unitarian Universalism is a living tradition, and our congregation is in the process of becoming a more anti-racist congregation. Our Board of Trustees previously voted to recommend adoption of the 8th Principle. The board is now bringing the question to a congregational vote. The text of the 8th Principle is “We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.
  • Elect Board Trustees (nominees for three-year terms: Megan Duncan, Amy Stasch, Derek Bassett) Link to bios
  • Elect Leadership Nominating Committee members (nominees for three-year term: J Harkins, Christine Burrows) Link to bios
  • Elect Endowment and Memorial Gift Trust Directors (nominees for three-year term: Jon Hassinger, Mary Overington), Katie Wheeler (term ending June 30, 2025 to replace a resignation) Link to bios
  • Approve 2024-25 annual operating budget.

You may vote in one of the following ways:

Only members who joined no later than April 28, 2024 may vote. Voting eligibility will be verified by the JUC office, so your name must appear on the ballot to be counted. We must receive 96 ballots in order to achieve a quorum for the vote. Your vote must be received by 11:59 pm on Monday, May 27 to be counted.
