The 2024 auction is March 2nd-9th
Our annual online silent auction raises funds while providing the opportunity for connection through JUCer hosted parties, events, and other fun social activities throughout the year.
How do I bid?
We are using HANDBID, a mobile silent auction platform that allows you to bid from your smartphone or computer. Once the auction is open on Saturday, March 2, we will email a link to bid on your computer, the BID NOW button below will be active, and the auction will be available in the Handbid app. Bidding will close at 6:30 pm, Saturday, March 9.

Where do I drop off my donation(s)?
If you have donated a yummy treat, handcrafted treasure, or an item that includes a certificate, please bring it to the JUC office on Saturday, March 9 between 12 and 2 pm or make arrangements with Darcy Stanton.
How do I get my stuff?
Yay, you won something! Once you have paid for your item(s), you will receive an email from Handbid. If your item is an event, your receipt will include a date, time, location, and contact information for your hosts. Save this information on your calendar so you can look forward to your fun event.
If you won a yummy treat or handcrafted delight, please pick it up in the JUC commons after each service on Sunday, March 10.
Is there an in-person auction event?
Our auction is 100% online. This gives everyone in the congregation equal access to participate without having to attend an auction event. Online bidding will end at 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 9, just in time for our after party, the JUC Under the Stars Prom! Celebrate the end of a successful fundraiser with an evening of fun and dancing for everyone!

Bid from a Computer
STEP 1: CREATE A HANDBID ACCOUNT
Go to the Handbid Events website: events.handbid.com. Click the log in in the menu on the top right.
Select the REGISTER NOW at the bottom of the login screen. You will be prompted to enter the following information: first and last name, shipping address, email address, passphrase, and your cell number. A passphrase is used in place of a password. There are no special characters required and they are typically more secure. Use something like “I Luv rock and roll”. We find these easier for users to remember. Once complete you will have a Handbid account.
STEP 2: SELECT AUCTION AND START BIDDING
Once the auction is open for bidding, the BID NOW button below will take you directly to the auction page. Or, from the dropdown on events.handbid.com, select JUC FUN!draising Auction.
Bid from a Smartphone
Note: the Handbid app will not allow you to bid through an iPad or Android tablet. The instructions below are for using a smartphone only.
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE HANDBID APP
If you have an iPhone or Android, you can download the Handbid app from the Apple iTunes App Store or the Google Play store.
Please note we strongly recommend you “Accept notifications from this App” when you open it. This will allow you to get push notifications for “Outbid” messages during the auction.
STEP 2: TAP GET STARTED & CREATE ACCOUNT
Next, you can create an account. From the App home screen, tap on “GET STARTED” button and complete the information (please use your cell phone as the phone number). Tap NEXT
Handbid will text you a 5 digit code. Enter this code to log in.
STEP 3: SELECT AUCTION FROM LIST & START BIDDING
Select JUC FUN!draising Auction from the list of auction and swipe left to enter the auction. Once in the auction, swipe left/right to access categories and up/down to access items.
Whether you are bidding online or in the Handbid App, here are some easy tips to help:
- MAX BID: This is the max you are willing to spend for an item and Handbid system will automatically bid for you until you reach your max.
- NOTIFICATIONS: If you have downloaded the Handbid App and accepted push notifications, you will be notified by push notifications when you are outbid on an item. If you don’t have the app you will receive text messages from Handbid.
- DASHBOARD: Monitor what you are currently winning and losing on the Dashboard screen in your app or online.
Who is the auction for?
The JUC Annual Community FUN!draising Auction is for everyone! All JUCers are encouraged to participate as donors, bidders, or both!
Attending or hosting an auction event really is the best way to get to know people in the JUC community. With items and events for all ages, and at all price points, there really is something for everyone. Nothing feels better than supporting JUC while having FUN!
How (and what) do I donate?
