Mary LeBoeuf

Trustee

Mary LeBoeuf first heard of Jefferson Unitarian Church in 2010 when she was invited to participate in the Spanish conversation group, ¡Charla!. The first time she attended a worship service, she found herself blown away. There was an energy and an excitement among the congregation that was palpable. Mary kept repeating in her head, “These people WANT to be here.” Since then, Mary has wanted to be here. She has expanded her knowledge of Unitarian Universalism, has regularly attended services and has participated in various volunteer activities. This year she has been active in her Circle of Connection and is teaching K-1st Religious Education for the first time as well as jumping in as an usher. Mary became a member of JUC in 2017. One of the activities at JUC that Mary is particularly committed to is the Reflections on Race series. She believes that each of us is required to identify our Individual racism and move beyond it in order to make our community and our world a better place.
