Judy Denison
I was born in New York City and grew up on a farm in western Massachusetts. I came to Colorado for graduate school, and raised my four kids in Laramie. My second bachelor’s in psychology and classes at the Jung Institute contributed to my interest in becoming a Spiritual Companion. The training gave me good lessons for my own life. I participate in Open Mike by reading letters written by my grandmother’s family in the early 1900s. I’ve been interested in refugees ever since I was 14, and now volunteer for the International Rescue Committee. I live in Golden and have had foreign students boarding with me for 25 years; I now am hosting a young refugee couple from Ecuador.
