Families

Families play a vital role in the life of Common Flame

Common Flame members participate in a team building activity, trying to move hoola hoops between them while locking hands, at our 2025 fall retreat.

We offer programming to support our families both as a unit, as well as for individual family members.

Tied to our mission, our programs provide opportunities for our families to Deepen Spiritually, Connect Authentically, Serve Respectfully, and Love Radically.

First Friday Open Mic

First Fridays, 6 pm dinner, 7 pm show (September-May)

We’ll enjoy a pizza and salad dinner ($5/person; $20/family suggested donation) followed by an evening of entertainment. We really love to have kid performers.

We Are Parents (+ kids!)

Third Thursdays, 6 – 7:30 pm (September-May)

We share a meal together, then the kids go to childcare while parents participate in interactive and fun programming put together by Laura Lizut and Paula Garner. Each month will focus on a different topic or lens, with the aim of deepening or connection with each other. Please sign up so we know how much food to order. ($5/person; $20/family suggested donation).
