Throughout our abundant lives, we can find simple and quick ways to connect our learning and growth at church to our lives at home.
At Church:
We read the book Lion and the Mouse and made Valentines for people we love.
Morning Time:
“Trust before you love. Know before you judge. Commit before you promise. Forgive before you forget. Appreciate before you regret.” -Unknown
Drive Time:
Listen to Michael Franti’s song Once a Day.
Meal Time:
Trust is a crucial part of a strong family. How have we built trust between us? What do we trust each other to do? How does that trust allow for more love in our family?
Bed Time:
Read Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch by Eileen Spinelli (we read this one in January with an emphasis on making a difference). Discuss how Mr. Hatch’s life changed when he started trusting people.
Family Time:
Cut out hearts to give to each family member. Write a message and fill in the blank: I love you because ____. Have fun with the hearts- tape them to each person’s door or make a big tree of hearts.
