We kick of our church year by celebrating our covenantal tradition. The Choir will sing, kids will start out in the service for a message for all ages, and we will unpack what an old fashioned word like covenant might mean for us today. As Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel wrote: “we do not make the covenant, the covenant makes us.” What does that mean for us?
