Throughout our abundant lives, we can find simple and quick ways to connect our learning and growth at church to our lives at home.
At Church:
Today at church the younger children read the book The Wonderful Things You Will Be by Emily Winfield Martin. The older children read the words from the book in poetry form. We discussed the inherent worth of each person.
Morning Time:
“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.” -Paulo Coelho
Drive Time:
Read this excerpt from The Wonderful Things You Will Be:
This is the first time
There’s ever been you,
So I wonder what wonderful things
You will do.
Have an informal chat- What will you choose to be today? What wonderful things will you do?
Meal Time:
We all have dreams of what is possible. What is your dream for yourself? What do you need to do to achieve your possibility? Who can you ask to support you?
Bed Time:
Read Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae
Read Oh the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Suess
Family Time:
Create collages of all of your possibilities for 2019 together. Get out some old magazines or draw your own pictures.
Watch the movie Ratatouille and discuss how he believed in the possibility of being a chef.
