Linked Hands, presented by Rev. Wendy Williams, Senior Minister, Sunday, July 30, 2017

A fair while ago, we accepted into our public lexicon the proverb ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ It seems that many of us want to believe that irrespective of a child’s biological parentage, the upbringing of children is the responsibility of the community. We can lose track of that as adults, choosing instead to believe that some of us are brave or heroes or activists. What if we understood and lived into the reality that it takes all of us to form communities in which the power of one can arise and be multiplied?
