Awe Week 3: The Awe of the Universe that We are a Part of

Throughout our abundant lives, we can find simple and quick ways to connect our learning and growth at church to our lives at home.

At Church:

We engaged with awe through looking to the stars and our place in the universe inspired by our 7th uu principle the interdependent web of all existence of which we are apart.

Morning Time:

Consider these thoughts by Lily Tomlin~

On the way to the play, we stopped to look at the stars.

I felt in awe.

And then I felt even deeper in awe at this capacity we have to be

in awe about something.

Then I became even more awestruck

at the thought that I was,

in some small way,

a part of that which I was in awe about.

Drive Time:

Brave Touch the Sky

Meal Time:

Talk about: What awe does it create when we consider our interconnectedness to nature, the stars, planets, and universe? What feelings does this create?

Bed Time:

Read:  Draw Me a Star, The Universe

Family Time:

Watch: Neil deGrasse Tyson – The Most Astounding Fact

Spend some time together stargazing.
