Ours is a world divided, and too often, we live fragmented and frenetic existences. We experience:

  • The difficulty in living and raising children according to one’s own values;
  • Increasing work demands;
  • A longing to belong and to make a difference; and
  • A desire to live a life of integrity.

Unitarian Universalism (UU) recognizes these common struggles and works to help us overcome them and feel a greater sense of wholeness.

As a religion, UU’s focus is on deeds, not creeds. Those deeds invite us to live with greater intention and attention, acknowledging that we are both shaped by the world in which we live and shapers of it. In our time together, we are reminded that we are loved and loveable as we are, not in spite of it. At the same time, we are invited to become our best selves.

At Jefferson Unitarian Church, we seek to build wholeness, within and among people, through ministries that help us:

Deepen to our truest selves;

Connect authentically with others; and

Engage with needs beyond our own.

For us, deepen, connect and engage are pathways by which we develop ourselves spiritually and ethically. They guide our work together and remind us why we treasure our community.

If these pathways interest you, we would love to have you join us. Together we can and do make a difference.
