About UU Art of Peace
This summer, JUC Religious Education is hosting The UU Art of Peace, a Summer Day Camp for rising kindergarten thru rising 6th grade children. Camp is August 7– 11. This camp is held on sight at JUC from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Space is limited to 50 children.
The cost is $150 for your first child and $125 for each additional child.
This camp will offer children an opportunity to creatively explore the meaning of peace – within ourselves, in our communities and in the world. Local artists will visit us to teach throughout the week. It will be an exciting week of art, music, yoga, solar cooking, tie-dyeing and more.
For each child registered, a $35 nonrefundable deposit needs to accompany your pre-registration. We use your deposit to get the t-shirts, dyes and other art and craft supplies.
Each day, we will focus on an aspect of peace:
- What is Peace
- Peace in Me
- Peace in our Families, Schools and Communities
- Peace with Nature
- Peace in the World
